About the RMG Nike Air Max 200 Customs: RMG Nike Air Max 200.. The Nike Air More Uptempo is one of the most iconic basketball shoes that Nike has released. They were made famous in 1996 by Scottie Pippen who wore them alongside Michael Jordan in his similarly iconic Jordan 11s. I was presented with the opportunity to create a gift for an associate around the time that Odell Beckham Jr. started wearing Uptempo inspired cleats with “OBJ” on the sides. The associate’s company’s initials were “RMG” and he was a big fan of Odell’s cleats so I decided to throw “RMG” onto the sides of a pair of Nike Air Max 200s in the Uptempo-style typeface.. I started by taping off the sides of each shoe so I could hand-draw “RMG” stencils. It took a few tries to get the proportions of the letters right, but once that was done I cut out each letter. Next I airbrushed a couple layers of yellow followed by a lot of layers of gold until the letters were a solid color. After that I removed the tape and outlined the letters in black. To finish off the customs I painted my associates’ company’s crown logo on the toe box of each shoe. This was a pretty quick and simple custom job, but I appreciated the opportunity to make an Uptempo-style custom and get my work in front of some of my associate’s clients. We only work with authentic base shoes because fakes are lower quality. If you try to supply a fake shoe we will decline the project.
Customs done on used shoes do not last as long due to the wear and tear that they’ve gone through prior to being customized. If you would like us to customize a pair of lightly-worn shoes you will need pre-approval from us.
Our average turnaround time is 2-6 weeks, but this varies project to project and is based on design complexity, workload, and more. Custom jobs are completed in the order that they are received unless a rush fee is paid.
All of our custom work is durable and can be worn though we advise against putting your custom shoes through a lot of stress or constantly wearing them for sports. The more harsh the conditions you wear them in, the more likely they are to receive damage just like any other pair of shoes.
