// Warriors Nike React Element 55 //
// Every now and then I get what I call “customization fever” or the urge to paint every pair of shoes in sight // Back in mid-2019 I caught that fever but thankfully had a pair of all-white Nike React Element 55s laying around collecting dust // This was before my home-team, the Golden State Warriors, descended into the dark abyss of injuries and roster issues so I decided to paint the shoes in a simple blue and gold colorway //
// First I quickly prepped the shoes and then proceeded to mask everything except the swoosh, eyelets, tongue, and heel tab // Then I airbrushed a few base coats of yellow // Once I established a solid base I shaded the outer edges of each yellow panel with a slightly darker yellow gold // Next I removed the tape and masked the yellow parts of the shoes // After that I mixed a custom blue which I then airbrushed the upper and liner of the shoes with // Finally, I mixed a darker version of that blue and shaded the outlines of the upper // Technically these shoes are done since I sprayed finisher on them and laced them up // For awhile I had plans of adding a Warriors logo or two around the toe or heel areas, but I never had enough spare time to do that // One day, likely after I write this, I’ll list them up for sale so go check out our catalog of customs, sneakers, and stencils to see if they’re your size and still in stock! //
